X,

Laughing off the A/D divergence to the higer prices we've seen since June was my bread and butter response to all who thought a bear market was around the corner. Using '29, '66, & '87 as a model, I fully expected a 3 to 6 month unconfirmed rally. That expectation proved to be without validity, as too many other things were and are currently opposing the theory of a necessary continued rally unconfirmed by the A/D line. I would have been on the short side much sooner had it not been for this misguidance.

Regards,

David

P.S. Take a look at the divergences in New highs versus the rally in '87... And compare to today... Now there appears to be something you can hang your hat on. Also, 3 rallys in succession unconfirmed by the Summation index appears to be having the same devastating effect today as it had in '87... And of course, the real fun won't begin for a couple more weeks, in my opinion. Between here and there, I'm still looking for about a 6 or 7 % rally on the senior avg's.

Regards,

David
