Hi Liz? A little early in the morning, but that looks like a typo. Peter, I wouldn't go long on anything at this time either. Others on this thread as well have taken the "throw a dart at the paper" approach when it comes to picking possible shorts. The trend is down and the A/D line has decoupled from the Exchanges for too long.

I just got back and have quickly read through the weekend's posts. I think the thread's major objective is maximizing their short position.

(drsvelte : UN looks quite good to me as well.)

I found this except from your post amusing:

Part of the problem with orders is there was some disappointment among retailers with the company's LizWear jeans, Whitfield said. The company had moved to a more "contemporary" fit.

"That means slim to me," Whitfield said.

The Liz Claiborne customer tends to be a little older and prefers roomier bottoms. The company is fixing the problem by going "back to the classic silhouette" that has satisfied its customers.

The slim part:
It also means SHORT (pun intended). I've only bought one pair because they are "high water pants". And I'm only 5'6 1/2".

Thank you very much for putting that conglomeration of news items together. What's your favorite short - and at what price?
