Djane, that was excellent. Same guy who gave us the big news, is giving us another big news. I think we are seeing a making of a baby Godzilla of a company that would take CSCO Gorilla head on unless LU swallows him while it is swallowable. I hope they can do it themselves and be a 5-10 bagger in 5 years. I will remember this post 5 years from now and look back at the opportunity, BR

djane, Thanks for all the informative news postings. I am very relieved at the recent news about ASND intentions to sell off the non-relevant portions of SRA. Only 400 employees added to ASND! It certainly shows that Mory knows exactly what he is doing. I take back all the ignorant remarks I made Friday on Yahoo. Mory is an awesome CEO! From the press relase, it appears he had a purpose all along in acquiring SRA, and it's a secret killer product that MCI has been testing for the past few months, and will now be purchasing. I can't wait to hear the details about this product, but perhaps it is better that I do wait so as to not tip off the neighborhood gorilla. But I can imagine, Ascend now has a 6-12 month head-start on Cisco in developing this new killer product. I believe that the next two years will be very pivotal to the future of the networking industry. They will determine whether networking will become like the software industry dominated by MSFT, or like the automotive industry with GM, Toyota, Honda, etc... slugging it out. And I believe Ascend is pivotal to determining what will happen. LU cannot waste any time in acquiring Ascend. They are woefully behind Cisco in data networking. Every month they wait before acquiring ASND will be like a year in Internet time. I think the acquisition will occur the stroke of midnight Oct 1, if not then soon after. Without ASND, LU will struggle for years to enter data networking market, and they can't afford that. And thanks to the lofty valuations given to LU stock, I believe they can and will make an offer that Mory cannot refuse. I see ASND at 60+ by mid-September. bucky89
