I can't say I know much, Sunshine--CAYC appeared out of nowhere to supposedly swallow Oilex up late last year, but it isn't going to happen now.

I asked a question on AOL and got this response from Califtalk. It may have answers for you, too.

IN RESPONSE to a Question

The Directors of Caye Chapel are:
Ken Liebscher
Clifford Budd
Gary Geer
Gary Giles

Allen Burditt hand picked the Directors of Caye Chapel and chose men of good reputation to make a good impression on investors. It appears that Burditt controlled the company and made the major decisions and news releases without consulting the Board of Directors.

Omar took instructions from Burditt and was impressed by the apparent wealth and power of Burditt. The money to achieve this lifestyle came from the debenture cash assets of Oilex and from the millions of shares of Oilex that Burditt received in the name of Phoenix Resources (usually without real consideration, as part of a scheme or in effect a double escrow where he doubled or tripled the price by running the purchase thru Phoenix Resources before passing the asset over to Oilex)even though the original purchase price was Oilex shares, and the millions of extra shares picked up by Phoenix were then dumped on the market.

A classic pump and dump act which he was going to repeat with Caye Chapel. Oilex did acquire real assets, in exchange for the high flying shares of Oilex while the price of oil was high and prior to the 20 to 1 reverse split. The oil fields of Oilex do exist and oil production
is continuing. Assets of Oilex have been recovered this past week and
the task of recovering additional assets is continuing as many assets
have been identified and located. The eight remaining employees of
Oilex are loyal to the company and have been of great assistance in
the rebuilding process.

Caye Chapel stock tumbled too quickly to acquire assets in exchange
for shares and the climate had changed when the price of oil fell to
new lows. The directors of Caye Chapel following the example of
the directors of Oilex are preparing an analysis of the situation and
a determination of the status of the assets in Caye Chapel .<<

It looks like the folks at CAYC are working to get their act together, also.

Christine, thanks for the information on the field hands being paid. It's the average joe that can least afford the fallout of these sort of rip-offs, glad to see that Califtalk is looking out for them.

Rick
