Sorry when anyone loses money, but isn't that the way it works if you have buyers and sellers? Someone is going to be wrong and when it's not you, you're happy!

I have a question for the teckies. I have been shopping for an external drive and Syquest looks to be the best value. What happens to their products if SYQ goes down the tubes?

BTW, the stores are loaded with SYQ inventory which would indicate to me that sales will follow. It always amazes me that a company with such a good product can't manage their biz to generate profits.

RE: NASDAQ $1

>>> I don't know whether it was mentioned here, but I want to point out that syqt will loose its nasdaq listing if it drops below 1$ for a certain period of time... <<<

I believe most here are aware of the NASDAQ requirements. Something to keep in mind is that delisting is not an immediate action. There is a set of processes that go into play when the requirements have not been met, and the company is generally given every opportunity to get back in compliance. This routine takes time. I suspect we'll have a much clearer idea of SyQuest's future turn-around prospects by the time any delisting possibility would become imminent. While it is certainly something we should all keep an eye on, I wouldn't worry about anything happening for a number of months at least, if ever.

SyQuest previously went through a period of delisting concerns in recent times. The requirement at issue was net tangible assets. Although the company reported a balance sheet below the NASDAQ minimum, they were able to avoid delisting by communicating their plan, and then following through with financing that more or less traded shares for assets which brought the company back above the limit. SyQuest has continued obtaining financing quarter after quarter ever since, and thus has been able to avoid dropping below the asset limit.

>>> long time ago we were in discussion about syquest (do you remember?) <<<

Ralph, I recall your name, but I can't remember what we discussed. In any case, hope you're making a killing with all your investments.
