IMO, buying the stock back by the company would not be a good plan. They need to focus their money for R&D, with all the new competition.

As per SEC rules, a company buy-back may only be made on a down tick, so no matter how bad the company wants to raise its stock price, it cannot do this with a buy-back.

There is $168 million in cash sitting idle on the balance sheet earning a measly 4.5%. The cnvt deb financing was oversubscribed by $50 million in excess of their projected 5 year plan funding requirements. The R&D program is fully funded and well in excess of the distant competition ensuring they maintain ~100% market share going forward for the forseeable future. This stock at these price levels is a steal. That was the rationale for the authorized stock buyback.

I doubt that there are any legitimate shareholders not agreeing with this strategy.
