One of the factors leading to the action in the stock this AM is that on a merger the arbs sell the acquiring company short and but the acquiree. Then when the merger occurs they can pay back the short with the stock they get for cashing in the acquiree (SRA). This will drive down Ascend and raise SRA until the time premium equals the difference in the price.

This effect should be short lived. (I hope)
