There were 4 things that went against SAP today

DAX down 2% and SAp down to 59.75 on DAX
DOw down almost 100 soon as it opened
Mark weaker against $$
Co-chair of SAP not that impressive by US standards

SAP's opportunity, imo, is in the long term. I, for one, am willing to take the bumps caused by traders.

Long on SAP

Rather than wondering whether other investors would dump the stock becuase of the perceived lack of price momentum, I think a SAP investor should ask following questions.

1. Does SAP have a good management? Yes, actually one of the best in the world.

2. Does SAP have a dominant market position? Yes, SAP's market share is greater than the next four ERP venders combined.

3. Is the market for their product growing? Yes, ERP revolution is in a 'tornado' phase and is unlikely to slow down for the foreseeable future.

4. Is SAP serious about preparing for future trend changes? Yes, SAP spends more on R&D than PSFT makes in revenue.

Unless one or more of the above answers change - say, shrinking market shares, or ERP market saturation, etc. I believe this stock should be held tightly.

Just my humble opinion.
