While I'm certainly curious about earnings, I think it is too early to expect much from Nicely's appointment as CEO. He's only been in there for a couple of months. Another 1-2 quarters should tell us more.

HemaCare is buying Coral Therapeutics! Sounds like the first step in a long term growth plan. Here's the news link:

I listened to the replay of the conference call today, and was quite impressed with HEMA's prospects.

Apparently, since acquiring Coral Therapeutics, HEMA has renegotiated a number of existing contracts to improve margins. It seems that Coral was pricing itself well below it's competitors! In fact, there is still room to raise prices some more over the next couple of years, and still undercut competitors. HEMA has an tiny market share, and has plenty of room to grow.

HEMA expects revenues to double over the next two years, and for earnings to increase. If we use the $0.06 per quarter as the basis for this year's earnings, then we can expect $0.24 in earnings (flat) for FY1999. If we assign a P/E of just 10, that yields a stock price of $2.40, quite a run up from today's price!

I am very optimistic about HEMA, and am sitting tight with my 20,000 shares. IMHO, this stock will hit $3/share within two years.
