In some bizarre way, Paul Fiondella is right when he states that a lot of business applications don't need more powerful processors. What they have is good enough - all those businesses that continue to use 486, 386, and even 286 processors. Just think of all those 486 applications that Fiondella has recommended to his clients. The Y2K problem, however, is a terrific reason for them to upgrade.

Paul Fiondella, by the way, is a tremendous contrary indicator. Whenever he starts up on this thread - Intel (without fail) experiences a breakout shortly after he starts trashing Paul Engle.
