WKOW, Madison, Wisconsin, has just put the power to the industry's first lower adjacent channel digital full-power transmitters. Recently, Harris, Itelco and ABS surprised DTV experts by putting Cincinnati in the lead for the number of stations in a single market outside the top 10 to install and test DTV transmitters. Now Madison joins the lower profile stations setting records by becoming the first to air NTSC analog and ATSC digital transmitters simultaneously in the N-1 configuration. Both transmitters at WKOW are from Comark.
