RE:"Is anyone else amazed at INTC durability of the past several trading days? Naz has dropped 150 points (at last check!) and yet, INTC has held on and even slightly consoldiated its gains.

No. It isn't like Intel had busted out to new highs either. The Naz had.

Scarecrow - Re: "Is anyone else amazed at INTC durability of the past several trading days?"

I thought this was exceptional, but Friday's $3+ drop sort of took the "magic" out of that strength.

In perspective, that Friday drop was part of a massive tech sell off with the NASDAQ down 47+.

Currently, 11:40 PDT, Intel is in positive territory - but there is plenty of time for that to change !

Very much so. To me this means a short term bottom, which could develop in to "THE" bottom, for semis is at hand. This recent strength is due to two things; DRAM prices have stop dropping and INTC's addressing not just the middle PC market but the low and the high end. correct me if I'm wrong.

Scarecrow,>>>INTC has held on and even slightly consoldiated its gains.... ....easy to overlook, but seems quite remarkable -- and significant -- to me. <<<

Moneyflow. Where is all this money going to go. Intel has predicitably good earnings. The fundamentals are strong. And, Kurlak may be a good contrarian indicator.

When Kurlak makes headlines DESPARATELY trying to talk Intel down (twice now within a week - without adding anything new - he is definately sweating bullets), may be a terrific indicator that Intel has bottomed.

Regards,

Mary
