Byron & Charliss,

Only a guess, but I think Scarlett used "talk to the hand" as another way of saying, Keep it up and you're gonna get slapped. It was during her "Sergeant at Arms" phase, so I'm assuming the reference was enforcement-related.

Brooke, what's the real story??

Let me take a crack at this. "Talk to the hand". It's a hand gesture people use to let someone know they don't want to talk to them. They do this by raising their hands almost to the face of the other person and they would say, "talk to the hand 'coz the face doesn't really care". It's better delivered when you include a side to side head movement. It's like giving someone the attitude. I think that expression came from that girl from the sitcom "Nanny". You know that hair dresser from New York who talks through her nostrils (Fran something can't remember her name).

Anyway, hope that helps. Enjoy the rest of the day.

See you all later specially the night crew :)

Hey all!!!!!

Well...its time to get our favorite stock back on the road and to celebrate its return...I'm going back to my real name =)

Talk to the hand..hmmmm....glad to see one of my terms still coming up in conversation here. I originally used it in conjunction with firing back at DGIVinvestor for being rude to Rocketman, Byron and Macker. He got my Irish temper all riled up and I told him that we didn't want to hear from him anymore....that any further discussion would simply result in him "talking to the hand". It's a term that young people (like I used to be) use to tell someone that their comments will go unheard.

Let's get fired up because it's August!!!!

Brooke (Fashion update....red blazer and skirt, black blouse and hose, red heels, pearls..... time to slip into the bunnies though =)
