Some Austin Chalk information: swiftenergy.com Located at depths of 10,000 to 14,000 feet or more and having a width of approximately 50 miles, the Austin Chalk trend underlies several Texas counties along the Gulf Coast. The formation is typically less than 1,000 feet thick and contains numerous hydrocarbon-bearing fractures.
