Back from Oshkosh. Still on a high. I think this was my 17th or 18th trip and I still love it. Watching the aerial ballet at Whitman Airport, where they were landing an aircraft every 10 seconds (for hours at a time) , where the downwind leg often included more than 30 aircraft and where the "traffic mix" in the circuit included WW 11 P51's wallowing through "s" turns to hold station behind a straining Stinson or Luscombe, is the stuff of which pilots" fantasies are made. On the ground, every square foot of grass within the airport boundaries was jammed with aircraft of every description, wing tip to wing tip, beneath which thousands of tents mushroomed. Within a two mile radius, virtually every field was also jammed with tents, trailers, mobile homes, etc, as every man and his dog with any form of interest in airplanes joined the fun. It is of course impossible to take it all in during a single week, but for this tech/flying freak, it was heaven, and to heck with the markets for its duration. (g)

Looks like about three hundred posts since I left, so will review during the evening.

Best, Earlie

MB. I have been very patient with the POS (er MU), but now it is getting back to the levels where I first bought puts on it. Will buy a first round of January's on any continued strength.

Just wondered what you think -- any chance that the fundamentals could change to catch up with the price at these levels?

Has the supply side changed much since I bought the puts months ago when MU was scraping 37 or 38?

It is rising in the face of a pretty strong market decline. This is somewhat amazing -- think we could be back up into the high 40's for a short period of time?

Mike,
What is your opinion now on Shiva? It has had a 50% haircut since you, Mr. Contrarian, first to a liking to it(at 10)...

Mike, I found this on Pete's myth thread from NYT #reply-5411010 -that's a summary. Full text #reply-5409945 Maria b looked nervous this AM -i had the mute on because she is too hyper. Bob P has a report detailing positives and negatives for the mkt . Under positive he has earnings still growing - well not by much and not for long. NIPA numbers show earnings down 2.2 & 2.3% last two Qs Mike
