Oil down 50 cents. Many stocks in the sector putting in new lows. Don't see how anyone can call this a bottom. To those who keep claiming we are at the bottom, my suggestion to you is to stop guessing. The bottom will be obvious, IMO.

I can't believe all the people who keep buying and then try to make themselves feel better by claiming we have hit bottom. Wake up!

Just one objective opinion,
Michael

My impressions of the TCMS acquisition:

Positive view...this acquisition will be accretive to earnings, it will diminish the dependency on GOM business, the synergy allows both companies to bid on projects they otherwise could not do alone, and many of the new jobs should exceed the 3-6 month duration that TCMS usually gets.

Negative view...they paid big bucks for a company with hardly any tangible assets, the margin for the line of work is typically lower than the fixed bids TCMS gets, the combined company will assume a lot of debt and will have little in the way of tangible equity, they will have too many fabrication yards between them (something will have to be closed).

Bottomline: a very risky, expensive acquisition with only potential payoff. In this market, they paid too much at the wrong time.

BDI - so cheap I'm jumping up and kisssing my own ass on this one !

I keep looking for those 1 - day excessive selloffs and I found one that I loved today! BDI - whom I love; sells off 16% in 1 damn day !

Accessing all the 8% equity line moolah I can.

Let's get a bottom fishing #101 lesson here boys & girls.

BDI goes public last fall at $28 +. It has what some say is the best ''average accross the board quality'' land rig fleet in the bizz. Lot's of SCR Diesel Electric deep drilling land rigs... has done some nice acquisitions. Has virtually no debt, good cash levels - still buying other companies ! Now selling for 1/2 of book value and 1/6 th of its initial IPO offering of 10 months ago ! Stack those Rigs boys - go on vacation 'till Asia rebounds & OPEC sticks to cut's and you still will be cheap !

Folks; going to pay for a child's college education or a ''big boys toy'' on this one !

OHHHHHH BABBBBBBY ! Gimmie some more - this is like FLC @ $9 or RIG @ $25 or SLB @ $40 - it no longers matters - institutions are just bailing, the market is teasing us, daring us to BUY !

Anyone else buying BDI today ?

damnnn; gotta calm down - the hair is standing up on my arms - we are entering a time when we will someday be able to tell our grandchildren about how we bought this $3 Million Dollar, deepwater canal, Palm Beach gated community home, with the 60' Hatteras out back; by buying all those damn Oil stocks back in 1998 when no one else wanted them ! (anyone else see the Prudential RE ads on this home today on CNBC?) ...it's happening - the few, the proud, the brave - BUY BUY BUY BDI !

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
