Kurlak talks down INTC and MU before the open. Both up on big volume.

Merrill Lynch Technology Fund likes to accumulate these two. It is becoming common that anytime Kurlak talks down a chip stock, SOMEONE does a lot of accumulating. I can't believe he called for a 200 SOXX. So far, support has looked pretty good at 20%-25% above that level.

He supposedly gets better information than many other analysts, (especially on MU and INTC) so I find it odd how often lately he is the contrarian to price and volume movements. I think the SOXX will go back to 275 on the way to 300 before it gets anywhere near 200.

DLJ had just the opposite to say from Kurlak this morning. DLJ's favorite list are Altera Corp. (ALTR), Intel Corp. (INTC), LSI Logic (LSI), Texas Instruments (TXN), VLSI Technology (VLSI), and Xilinx (XLNX)

Any ML clients out there? I would love to know what your broker would tell you if you asked him directly about MU and INTC. Just watch where the price is when Kurlak starts to "like" them.

SOXX stable again with DOW and NAZ down sharply. It would take at least a 220 SOXX for Kurlak to have any credibility as far as I'm concerned.
