G2000's are probably going to be out a year before Merced, and might be going into their second generation before Merced comes out. Then the PowerPC gets another two generations (3-4 years) before software that can support Merced well will be widely available -- according to Intel's own (over optimistic) predictions. Merced may be a has-been before it ever gets released. Good find, Soup. I perfect reason to stay long big time. This stock, indeed this platform, will have technical superiority for years to come. If it also has the right management mix, it will also enjoy stock market superiority over that same period. Sam
