SG Cowen Morning Call (617-946-3700) Ascend - Stong Buy ....... 3Com - Buy FQ1:99 on track. Systems biz stronger than expected on strong new low-end produces and 3500 ramp. Adapter card biz on track for falt Q. Modem weakness in Europe only question mark. About half of FQ1 biz to be shipped in August, as is typical for Q1. Price target $37 (22x C99E EPS)

To All, don't take so seriously on Cowen's upgrade. "Sell on upgrade & buy on downgrade" seems work for 3Com.
