I'm pretty sure it's true. Not too long ago there was a penny stock that was not in the $5 and Under category and it made it to the Hot List. Then one day it disappeared from the Hot List. The thread regulars cried conspiracy. I thought I read an "official" response from SI explaining the rule. So far I haven't been able to find that post. Maybe someone else remembers.

Well the Coffee Shop is important business. Keeping people up-to-date on coffee shop topics, what's hot and what's not, is an important service. I think these $5 and under stocks get these little rashes of Trial Members coming in when they make silly releases just to talk up the stock. My theory is that this little run up can't possibly be because of the announcement today as it was so thin on real news as to be laughable. I think this one is a smoke screen. I believe they are buying on this one to pull some new blood in and then these shares will likely be sold again shortly on the run up of the next announcement that must be coming. I think the next one is likely promising and optimistic and oh yes probably going to take a little time to verify or come to fruition. Just long enough to get the shares back out again. But maybe I'm the one seeing conspiracies where there are none. Oh well, I'm sure we'll see shortly. Maybe have a pool about what the next upcoming news will be. Some light hearted possibilities include: Earnings will be .04 instead of previously announced .03, but financials will not be filed until October. Telanis has signed their agreement. But terms are confidential. The Chat software is shipping in beta. Alan Lafkas has been replaced (as if you could tell) The Zitec arm is taking another 10K unit shipment ahead of schedule. A testing firm has found that cats prefer Paws Only 2 to 1. (Probably the same car dealer guy that has 3 cats.) The USGS is going to check all of their computers with the 11th Hour product. (Their estimates are always 25 to 40% low.) Paws Only ships their first 10 bag run to a community youth center Riverside CA. I guess there are other more serious possibilities. Though today's announcement sets a pretty low standard, so I think it could be just about anything at this point.
