Darn these corrections, eh?

What about Rod McKuen? You left him off one of the lists.

"Once at a concert in Dallas a few years ago, he smiled right at me and said Good Evening..." Was this during intermission? At the bar? Did he offer you a drink? Inquiring minds want to know.

What I do really want to know is, what was his first name? I mean, Ludwig Van Cliburn? I never thought he was that great looking. Although he was better looking than Vladimir Horowitz, that's for sure. Then again, I'm a guy.

With me, it's ballplayers.

The big stars of my boyhood were players like Clemente, Mays, Aaron, Gibson, Brock, F. and B.Robinson, Mr. October, Palmer, Howard, Killebrew, etc. They are all still around, in their 50s and 60s, but some of their counterparts are gone. Curt Flood, Roger Maris, and, of course, the Mick immediately come to mind.
