The 'Asian Crisis' - analysis by EIA

biz.yahoo.com

Summary excerpt:

"Because East Asia has fueled world oil demand over the past few years, the region's economic slowdown will likely reduce world oil consumption growth this year to 1.2 million bpd, about 300,000 bpd less than was forecast before the Asian crisis", the EIA said.

That is the Asian crisis. World oil demand will grow by 1.2 million bpd instead of 1.5 million bpd (as forecast) and the OPEC production quota cutback now stands at slightly more than 3 million bpd.

Okay George, you told me so this morning. Were you buying today? Let's wait a few days and see how I fare with the stock I picked up today within 1.8 percentage points of the 52 week low.

Hold on to your hat; we may be in for a wild ride!

Best of luck,

Steve
