MO ups prices by $0.06/pack and increase promotional efforts to counter the price increase. Looks like MO is really serious about having this settlement with the states go through, and soon.

In a Bear Market, you can't be long a better stock than MO. There will be a settlement, share buyback and a dividend increase. To buy dips on MO are wise here- though a recipe for disaster in the broader market. With declines outpacing advancers 2 to 1 over the past couple of weeks, the Great Bull is Dead. But this is where MO shows its might and greatness. It's upleg runs counter to the broad market. Don't be deceived here; discriminate well. I see 50 by Labor day. The Smart Money will buy the dip on MO here. The Attorney Generals want an agreement here and the Tobacco Industry can negotiate from strength.
