Re: "Yes I know blame VIA. Just like Intel blamed S3 for their problems with Intel's Atlantis motherboard audio/video problems several years ago. "

Well VIA accepted the blame and stepped their chipset. I happen to be typing this on an Atlantis motherboard and the audio from Crystal labs works just fine. No video here but the graphics are from ATI so you are wrong on all counts. You just keep proving that you are the bigot Paul.

Paul F. Re: Yes I know blame VIA

Wrong. A hacker(who don't follow the
standard and easy path) should expect
these kind of things to happen.

Why don't you opt for a simple solution
and buy an Intel 440EX/LX/BX based board
and plug the i740 card into it ? It is
simple and easy.

If you want to blame, blame yourself. A
hacker enjoy doing it(look at how excited
Anandtech was when someone told him how
to make i740 work on mvp3 chipset) and if
you don't, get a Compaq/Dell or whatever
brand name's ready to run model.
