That is not PI or The Other Janice You are very attentive to pick out the alien sequence #reply-5387482 49149 is a post in the alien sequence, 149149149149149, or that is not pi. This a five digit alien sequence, one of the few available on SI, nice catch. I followed that up by adding this post over here. #reply-5394908, note that 14 again. A post must be at least four digits long to considered for the alien sequence. These rules, like other rules you may have seen, are entirely subject to your own interpretation. Another fun thing to do is write long missives to the Trophy Case and then just fire them off. The next day you can come back and see if the Grub Gods liked your offering. The Other Janice is a reference of course, to the most well known IR person on SI today. Apparently she uses an 8086 with dual floppies 5 1/4" floppies and an Herc monitor. She knows everybody everywhere and is really funny. She is considering upgrading her modem to a 1200 baud, the long distance phone charges from Milan to SI are killing her.
