The Hang Seng breaking 7000 is another

The Nikkei 14000 is meant to result in another round of bank collapses in Japan.

With the government saying it won't manipulate the market anymore let's see what will happen. Each time it got to 15000 before it bounced straight up. Presumably intervention or threat of intervention was the reason.

I'm not sure whether in the Hong Kong situation bank balance sheets are so closely tied to stock prices?
