ASND just doing LU's bidding...

Not all that familiar with SS7, but what are people's thoughts on the possibility that ASND is acquiring SRA b/c LU cannot yet do a pooling? Would LU want SRA's SS7 technology? That might explain why ASND/SRA is not a tight fit. LU acquiring ASND is almost a foregone conclusion, so maybe ASND essentially becomes LU's vehicle for acquisition prior to the formal link-up in October. It wouldn't necessarily surprise me if the ASND/SRA acquisition was really a move to cement an LU/SRA/ASND deal.

If so, the question then becomes: What other companies does LU want, i.e., who's ASND going to acquire next (using de facto LU stock)?
