Sure is a good idea but:

1) You give up the upside after 22.5. (takeover or takeover spec..)
2) How long will you write them?
3 How much premium are you really going to get now? Puts have all the juice these days...

Writing calls when the stock is way down and due to bouce is a sure way to kick yourselves for selling out too low...

Whew webdrone good to see you still aboard. I'd say yes but only on shares you own below 22 1/2. I have bought the 19 5/8 dip twice, written 22 1/2 calls each time and been called out. But if you own stock at 25 and don't want the loss, you can't write them. Remember I said there was around another 1mm shares left to short, I think. If that's true then the selling pressure will subside.
