Life Line Shipments Begin To Boeing
ROPER RESOURCES INC ("RRN-Y;RPRSF-L") - Life-Line Shipments Begin To Boeing

W.T. Styffe, Director of Roper Resources Inc., reports that the Company currently holds exclusive Canadian distribution rights to the Life-line product line, as well as exclusive rights to negotiate the acquisition of an equity interest in Safe Environment Engineering, LP, located in Valencia California.

Safe Environment Engineering, LP has advised Roper Resources Inc. that the first segment of an order for The Boeing Company of Life-line products was shipped on July 28, 1998. The shipment included a Main Monitoring Console and two Surrogate Log-On Stations. Expected to be completed no later than August 22, 1998, Phase 1 shipments, will include several units of a new and recently announced, Portable Safety Monitor (PSM). The new PSM is considerably smaller than its predecessor. First installation of the Life-line system is expected to begin at Boeing's Aircraft Maintenance Facility in Everett, Washington during the first week of September.

Safe Environment Engineering, a California Limited Partnership, develops and supplies communications systems which integrate wireless telemetry and voice communication to transmit information. The Company uses this technology in its patented Life-line systems, which, in one version, enables monitoring of entrants into confined spaces or hazardous locations; and, in another configuration, monitors security personnel on patrol rounds.

The products of Safe Environment Engineering and its Canadian distributor, Roper Resources, Inc., meet the strictest standards and requirements of various national and international regulatory bodies including CSA, UL, and FEDOSHA relating to "confined spaces". The value of the marketplace for the Life-line System is considerable and the Company expects multi million dollar sales for its fiscal year 1998, which is the first year out of Research & Development. Existing installations of the Life-line system are located at the Northrop Grumman facility, Palmdale, California; Tinker Air Force Base, Del City, Oklahoma; Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Honolulu, Hawaii; and, Hill Air Force Base in Layton, Utah.
