Grasshopper, PPOD earnings were just announced. As for the National Service -- the timing couldn't help but rain a little on NetGrocer's IPO parade, but if you look carefully at the Peapod press release, you'll see that the service they're announcing is not quite the same as NetGrocer after all. They're going to be offering "packages", bundles of stuff. Seems to me it's more like offering fruit baskets (figuratively speaking) and such rather than Oreos, Ruffles, Twinkies, and Cheerios via FedEx. Which, Peapod rightly points out, is simply too expensive to provide any real value to a large set of customers. Something NetGrocer must know or be in denial of knowing.
