The piece on MSNBC was reported by Steve Franks of the Dow Jones Newswire. It lasted about 5 minutes. Its area of focus was Misinformation by folks on the Internet. Those who pump up a company as well as those who trash ( oh, BTW, hi Janice ) a company--both examples were illustrated with lies as well as innuendo and outright disinformation campaigns. Steve Frank indicated that the SEC had recently set up a division to monitor the threads---SI being the only one specifically mentioned --- and to warn investors of both pumpers and trashers who---in the words of the reporter---were probably taking short positions in the stock ( referring, of course, to the latter ): not my words, folks, theirs.

OK, next. Two illustrations were given. The first company, I can't remember other than the CEO made false claims and was a convicted felon blah blah blah. The second illustration was of a company which could likely have been victimized by posters on the internet. Comments from this company's CEO were superimposed on the screen and Frank read the script which was an exerpt ( as far as I can recall ) from one of Mountain Energy's press releases that had been written by Jack U. The comments zeroed in on Mountain deliberately being judicious in the amount of PRs they were going to issue ( why say something just for the sake of saying something---or rehashing old news---could give the impression of hype, etc. ). The other comment referred to posters on the internet disseminating false info about Mountain, etc.

Mention was also made regarding MTEI's suspension pending the SEC investigation.

That's it folks.
