Political instability is usually only a short-term negative. Even the Nixon resignation and Kennedy assassination didn't cause extended sell-offs (of course, the '74 market had its own problems). So the Clinton thing doesn't worry me. This selling does, though. This is one ugly day. I figure we can go 7-10% lower and I'll still show a gain for the year, so I guess I should try to keep my perspective. Sure wish I had shorted something when it looked like the market was headed south. CSCO and AOL could turn us around after the bell, though. If they don't, then we're in trouble. Where's Abby Cohen when you need her?
