Roy: I had a GTC buy order in at $3 1/4, so am now a proud owner of an initial position. Maybe this Harris & Harris Group news is what knocked it down today, or maybe it is just the terrible small cap market.

Actually, the news strikes me as positive. I am glad that there is a big shareholder putting pressure on management to perform.

The fact that NANX has about $2.48 per share in cash and, despite virtually non-existent sales, is losing only very modest amounts of money, makes me think that there isn't a lot of risk buying it around here. I may leave another GTC order in below $3 in case it goes lower.

I'm (as always, it seems) generally bearish on the market, but I don't mind buying stocks at tiny premiums over their net cash. I think of it as a heads you win, maybe big, tails you break even or lose a little bit, kind of bet. Sure, you will get lots of tails, but the heads should pay for everything.
