I hope you are right, but a couple things come to mind. How are the "little guys" going to "speed up" when no one is buying them? The Russell 2000 is down 6% for the year. Small caps have been "historically undervalued" for three years now, relative to large caps. There are dozens of small cap names trading at significant discounts to their growth rates. Nobody cares.

Again, everyone wants to own Microsoft. Individual investors are much more of a force on the market than they were 4 years ago. And fewer and fewer people listen to "experts". (Like myself :-)) DELL, Lucent, Amazon, AOL, drug stocks, those are the sizzle, man. Screw the steak...
