The speed of the decline has to do with sell programs

170 of the points has been sell programs

you can do sell programs during curbs but they are more restricted

Ralph at Pru was on CNBC yesterday still talking about Dow 10000 and then turns around today and changes his mind

he is just one more talking head

Dell down less than a point with the NAZ down 46...I say thats pretty good

Chris,

This is a good lesson for many, including me that the internals are the signal that I need to heed a bit closer.

It was amazing to look at quote.com and see the prem, at 12:45 EST, it went from 4 to 8 in a matter of seconds.. and the market shed 70 points.. that was a big buy program...

PREM rebounding now, lets see how it plays..

I am going to go see that movie the Negociator, anyone seen it?

Alot of power in a few stocks.. when the market rebounded, a few really popped hard... DELL down 11/16 when the NAZ is down 47...

WOW, it has been hard getting through. Well, here's what I did: bought Dell at 106 3/8 and bought OEX 560 (Aug) calls at 2 7/8. This feels like Dell at 100 7/8 bid-- this is not a dip, it looks like a climactic sell. Favors on his 12:30 hotline says the DOW is incredibly oversold but he recommended AGAINST taking a position on the long side.
