SI was unavailable when I tried to add:

Focus on the long term and there is no cause for the slightest alarm over Clinton's fate, unless of course he is allowed to prevail over the law and defeat the ends of justice. That would confirm both the end of our Constitutional Republic and the installation of the Clinton banana republic.

The pundits are now back-fitting the Clinton situation to attempt to explain the market slide. The market has corrections at least twice a year. And most stocks have been going down since April due to the poor earnings outlook. In fact, the market went up in late January through April when the Monica story was last on the front-burner.

Quitting as Clinton's aide and signing a personal services contract with Clinton won't work. The deposition is to cover his consultations with Clinton prior to any such contract.
