Tony. Last time I looked Intel was down only 1. I think most of our techs are holding up tremendously in this selling pressure. Only WLA is killing me. Sonki was wise to get out at 80. But, it will come back. I just heard that the Chicago futures are supposedly closing above a double top which is supposed to be good. Hm, I am not too swift on those kind of technicals. Above a double top? And I thought just a double top was not that great. Oh well.

I decided to watch the Campaign Contrib. Hearing. Wow. They had the FBI director, Mr. Freeh, on and two other top investigators. The hearing was about turning over an internal memo to Janet Reno in which the FBI director and one of the top investigators recommended the appointment of an Independent Counsel on Campaign Contrib. and Janet Reno has not appointed one yet. She does not want to part with the memo either. That was more eye opening than the market. Too bad that this is only aired on C-Span. It would make a nice addition to the Clinton/Lewinsky case. It was so interesting that I did not turn to CNBC until all this big damage was done. I joined the party when the Dow was down 165 points. It has recovered some since I have been watching again. gg. Sure hope it gets even better.

Yeah, it's open season on Intel and Msft. Watch out if you get big. That is only reserved for GVT. gg.

Tony. Well the market went down further even after I started watching again. I am mad as h**l at Ralph Acampouro. There he comes on yesterday and says the blue chips are still blue and then he comes on this afternoon and says that he watched the transportation index rolling over ( it had done that yesterday also) and the bluest of his blue chips getting hit, so he decided this morning that he thinks the blue chips are now in a bear market. Of course right a way they have some more bears on CNBC. But they did have one bull on who is still calling for DOW 10.000 this year. R. Acampouro was supposedly a bull for the last 3 years but I do remember that he caved in last time when the market got hit with a correction and he cut his 10.000 Dow call then but reinstated it again later. He has lost my faithful following for sure. I will still use him as a small indicator since he does have his following. I can't believe how he can turn on a dime from late afternoon to early morning. I am beginning to wonder about all analysts soon.

The bullish analyst that was on called this down turn: Thanks Mr. Ralph Acampouro. Could be tough sledding for a while unless Europe does well tomorrow before our markets open up.

Good Afternoon Tony,

Well I hope the rest of your afternoon goes better than the market did today. I actually went home and caught some CNBC at lunch. The dow was down about 126 then. I about freaked when I saw the 85xx number this morning. Oh well it's only money Right. :-0

Nickster is getting a little better, but sis is getting a sympathy disease. Oh brother, cough, cough, anything to get a little attention. <ggg> She'll be receiving her oscar soon. :-))))

Don't worry about the cruise, above 80 isn't bad. It's been alot worse, remember a few months ago.

As far as the Bill and Monica show goes this is getting to be a bit much. I wish they (as Sonny says who ever they are) would just get it over with and quit spending my money. Wonder if she saved the latex too... Oh, man I'd better quit now.

Here's a interesting article in wired 'New Rules for the New Economy'. It's very long but it mentions all of our favorites and their position in the next era we are starting to enter. Maybe we should forward it to TK lots of interesting uses for chips.

Have a great evening.

Take Care

Ann
