Well you can't take this thread as microcosm of American society and of course you know that.The people here are stock players and perhaps more conservative than most.Also don't assume an unanswered post means jack s#*.I don't answer a lot of posts for time reasons. I,unlike many of you hunt and peck,am computer illiterate. An unanswered post concedes nothing.Your ego is getting carried away. I just love all the self righteous putting down of the American people on this issue.Oh the masses are so stupid and we are sooo smart and only we really understand the situation.Any who disagrees with us have axes to grind but not us, nosiree bob. The past supporters of Clinton continue to do so.Clinton haters see this as a chance to validate their opinions.Only I have a completely objective,unbiased, approach to the question. pez

<<If 65% of the people approve of Clinton's performance, they are either ignorant of the facts or have a vested interest in his remaining in office.>> The truth is in the latter part of your statement...You can bet that they concentrate on polling registered Democratic voters (if they even call anyone!) and since the Democratic party represents big government (and higher and higher taxes to fund it!) you can bet that every Federal, State, County, City, and Town Public employee likes the idea of life time employment and in some states no Social Security tax out of their pay- check! Add to that list every public school teacher, administrator, principal, school shrink, councilor, social worker, and then go where the real money is in higher education with the tenored Professors! Don't forget...this country used to have very little money problems and students that could compete with any country in the World...before Democratic President Jimmy Carter decided to create a new Federal Department: The Department of Education! Not to mention, what Jimmy Carter allowed to happen with inflation and interest rates...! Right now the Democrats are trying to do something unconstitutional (what else is new?:) by doing our nation's census through statistical sampling(can you say polling?;) instead of the required actual census count....Don't forget that these new headcount #s determine if some states lose or gain representatives to Congress...in addition to where these districts are located within the state (since alot of people and businesses have moved out of the Big cities...so alot is riding on the census being done right and as dictated by the Constitution! Bottom line with Polls is that old axiom "Liars can figure and (therefore) figures can lie"! Shawn
