My guess: 70% probability: UNFI will hit $40 sometime in 1999. 25% probability: UNFI will hit $40 sometime in 2000 5% probability: UNFI will be below $40 through 2000 - (this would be a total surprise based on current information) These numbers are based on Zacks prediction of $1.22 for fiscal year ended 7/99. At a p/e of 30 times past earnings, this gives a price of $36.60 as of 7/99 and a good probability of penetrating $40 by year end, 1999. Since UNFI had a 7% upside surprise this quarter, it could hit these numbers even faster.
