Tim, yikes: the old gal is getting the slats kicked out from under her. Bummer, but I think there's a pattern here. First, we've got all the political intrigue so satellite operators are crooks, commies, and spies. Second, the Hughes bird goes on the fritz, so satellite operators don't know what they're doing and service is unreliable. Third, everybody has rediscovered launch risk and 'knows' that the Zenit rockets blow up every couple of days so satellite operators are irresponsible risk takers. Fourth, not enough launches will blow up to prevent an 'oversupply' of birds so all satellite operators are going to go broke. Last, the market is in the dumper so what little buying there is gets directed to 'quality' stocks, which by definition excludes EBITDA stories. And besides all that, the traditional telecom market is consolidating like a mother and these behemoths will kill the newcomers. Take a look at the fixed wireless sector (ARTT, WCII, et.al.) for some pretty heavy duty blood baths. Throw in some sick Iridium birds, and a few 'delays' in service and the picture is clear: sell. Well I think that's the story, and I think it's dead wrong. Doesn't change the red color on my screen however :( Mike Doyle
