has anyone thought about doing covered puts? i have been doing that and short selling when no options are available and am in the money. i have sold or sone covered calls on all my longs and am now short and it looks like it will get worse market wise. the "selloff" has just gotten started and has a ways to go.

these are just my opinion based on book knowledge and 4 years of experience so take it for what it is worth. either way, this moving market is what makes us money. and if we follow sound strategies, we all should make money. listen to herm who is quite knowlegable and give good advice. his covered call and put combination really has some merits in this market.

just a technical note on the market internals. there was still more call buying than puts and many stocks are now below their trendlines and the leaders are falling. also check the advance decline ratio and the new highs to new lows. who cares what the averages do. the internals tell the whole story with the small caps really getting whacked.

hope this helps. good luck
