Jenna: Sorry to be remiss in my response to your message ...... ---->I'm not sure I understood you correctly but if I did you mean you are losing some of your retirement account but making up for it in your trading account. That is what I am doing and I'm well ahead at least so far. I was off having a good time posting, slowly for sure, to some other messages, but had no intention to ignore you ... The laptop is now serving as the sole window to the outside world when my wife arrives home from work .......... and guess who gets first ......... and as she is head of the household, being the single wage earner, I yield to her demands ....... of course that's no different from when she was the housewife and I daily fought the dragons of commerce ..... I let her (read that she was gonna) be boss then, too that is the sole and overwhelming reason for which she has put up with me for these 36 years ...........ggggg next time and next wife, I'll find one who is MUCH more in tune with my wishes ........ GGGGG yes, that's true, to answer your question about my trades lately ...... I'm still too young but not by far (57 ) to pull the IRA and let the headofthehousehold spend it ......... and the trading methods are highly limited due to matters beyond my control ......... but by golly, I can trade and risk as much as I can hide from her .....gggg ....... All I was attempting to convey to the thread was that this isn't the end of the world ...... trade your way out of a problem.... don't get locked into a losing proposition...... cut your losses..... go with the market ..... the market will do what it will do, in spite of ones best efforts .... so trade in the direction that it is leading you ...... etc..... no lecturing, but just a statement of fact . I've been in the stock market longer than most on SI .... there are fewer scalpers and clippers and other trashing terms of traders than the " buy it it's gonna go to the moon ......." I just don't see the derision associated with the clippers ...... for I'm one and have been one and will continue to be one and I don't care who thinks badly of it ..........
