Still concerned, but nibbled on a little earlier today. BARS Key Points (from excellent/thorough 15 pager): ú We believe that P-COM's established technology base in point-to-point radio links and extensive development work in point-to-multipoint systems could enable the company to play in the nascent but potentially huge market for wireless broadband access. ú We believe that a turn-around for P-COM's business could come from two areas: 1. A reacceleration of global wireless infrastructure buildout, which would stimulate the company's traditional point-to-point business. 2. The adoption and deployment of P-COM's point-to-multipoint solution by a major wireless CLEC such as Teligent or Winstar. ú We are initiating coverage of P-COM stock on the thesis that the company holds the experience, technology, and talent base which could place it among the winners in the potentially open-ended market for wireless broadband communications. We balance this optimism with a cautious stance on near-term business trends and rate the shares Long-Term Attractive.
