I'd have to defer to an MPLS expert on that one. I am not sure if "bridging" is an accurate descriptor of what takes place in MPLS.

MPLS is a prime candidate for integrating 'streams' which are sent under disparate protocols on the transmission side of things. But that doesn't mean that these integrated message 'streams' would be melded at the ultimate 'application' level. Or am I getting off on a wrong tangent here?

It would be helpful if I understood what you meant by "integrate." The term itself is used extensively, and we all assume that others understand what we each mean by it. But when you lay it out on the table and scrutinize it, it's difficult to come up with a definition that suits everyone's purposes, or, is to everyone's overall satisfaction.

And once you provide your definition, maybe Scott Lemon or Denver Techie or someone else who is better versed in MPLS than I can jump in and provide a more informed reply?
