Darleen, my real concern is not the DOW, NASDAQ, etc. as they are only indexes which will follow the crowd, whether up or down. It is the specific stocks one has and their status in regard to the market.
I would imagine it will be the many high flyers and others with deep exposure to Asia and other areas with weak economies that will affect the general market indexes, perhaps between 20% to 40% before the next 12 months runs its course. I hope it is all over sooner, but one must be prepared for the longer period with the world economy in such sad shape. There will be periods of rally, but the bear will run its course, no matter how long or short.

CYI, imho, should do better and hold its own, for reasons stated in several past posts. It is progressing, while so many others are regressing. So hanging in there and holding on tight.

As you watch the daily prices,

it sounds like you are waiting for the next opportunity to buy shares again. Be sure to make a mental note that Mr. Hawk said another research analyst is expected to publish a report on CYI in about a month or so. Also, CYI is considering revising their sales reporting policy. As you know, they currently only report contracts in excess of $1 million but do not report the follow-on sales or open ticket sales. I think this is done to build the business while keeping a low-profile. In this case silence is a sign of strength rather than worry.

Right now the CYI chart is in an oversold area. That only means that by momentum measures of recent trading activity the current share price has been exaggerated to the downside. It can continue in this low area for an indefinite time, but when the trend starts to turn up it will be fairly sudden. That is logical if you think about it since news releases or other reporting events will have a quick impact.
