limtex, the only method that worked for me was to leverage big time during pre-earnings run up in large cap tech names and then dump the day before or day of earnings. it was indeed stressful but I got back my losses and then some profits as well. after the dust settles later this year, I plan to do it again. as for selling tomorrow, research (reading the reports and pundits) will dictate my moves in the morning. btw, was the '87 crash in August? thanks for your comments...
