Chris, I talked to quite a few people this past weekend who were all long time investors. Most people seem to <still> feel that this is just more noise.... and within a few weeks everything will be back to nomal. They really don't interpret this as being any different than any other down day ... very few of them really have an idea of how many down days there have been. There is the expectation , that any day , things will be back to normal, and their accounts will be back to normal. People have become immune to 100-200 point swings. It may take seeing the account statemnt at the end of the month to really sway a few opinions.
