could be any reason you can think of. maybe rumours of next q results...
one thing for sure, the stock market does not behave in a rational way - its fear and greed all the way. today prudential analyst predicts that the dow could drop 15-20% off highs and at the same time another analyst from prudential is putting out buys on stocks(eg vitesse semi). conflicting signals-maybe not but appears ironic.

one other stock i am holding was up today (am still underwater though) and that was plaintree systems. if you know their history, you will really scratch your head over its performance today.

Besides NN's news release re: IXNet contract, I suspect Cisco's strong performance helped hold up the networkers today. I listened to the replay of the cc and will type up my notes tonight.
