JPS, "resistance" is one of those neatly defined after the fact technical artifacts. It's resistance only if the stock doesn't go below that number. Do yourself a favor, look at stocks that have fallen significantly and ask your self how many of them actually experienced resistance at some point. I think you'll discover that this "resistance" is self-delusion.

If you remember what happened last summer, we fell from $108 to $72 in the fall. That's a drop of 33%.3%. This drop from around $118 to $105 is only 11%. Compare that to the drop in the NASDAQ -- you see that they are about the same. Given Dell's very high beta (around 2.2) that means that Dell is performing very well.

You talk about the stock as if it were an entity with free will -- devoid of human manipulation! It isn't. It's just an asset in high demand.
