Humble Carl,
I've been really hard studying T&A. Particularly the frontside bus vs the backside bus.
----
No predictions here buy over the last 10 years, when the DOW dips near the -4% of it's 200 Day exponential moving average it has marked a significant low. Today that's about 8227. There is also straight line support at 8274. 200 Day simple MA is 8467. I'm hoping for a sharp down in the morning in order to buy with both hands. May or may not happen...as the 200 day simple at 8467 is sometimes enough support....
Take your best shot.
Jim

There have been several posts on the Yahoo msg bb for TXN that some kind of deal or buyout between TXN & INTC ---The same kind of rumors circulated before the ale of TI's memory business to Micron.
Do you think that Intel could be interested in TI's DSP market for their future growth?

For TA affectionados, Intel has given a sell signal that should see it decline if it breaks todays low.I have posted the chart and signal at:

cyberpages.com

The signal is cancelled ( wrong ) if Intel goes above todays high.

For TA debunkers, your scathing comments will also be read with interest!! Dots on top of the bar are sell signals, dots on the bottom of the bar are buys.

Regards

Mike

HP Promises Clear Path To
Merced
(08/04/98; 6:52 p.m. ET)
By Kimberly Caisse, Computer Reseller News

Hewlett-Packard is ensuring a clear path for
customers to the IA-64 architecture it is
co-developing with Intel, according to Lewis
Platt, HP's CEO.

HP, Palo Alto, Calif., has in place two service
programs to help its customers move easily to
Merced, the processor being built with IA-64,
Platt said Tuesday during a keynote address at
HP World in San Diego, Calif.

One of those programs is HP's EPIC Readiness
Services. EPIC stands for Exclusively Parallel
Instruction Computing, an architecture HP
developed for its PA-RISC chips.

And HP (company profile) has made available
free on its website an IA-64 transition kit, he
said.

Platt said HP is making sure Merced is
backward-compatible with the HP products
based on the EPIC architecture.

HP also plans to make available the "highest
performance compilers" for software developers
to modify existing third-party software to the
IA-64 architecture, he said.

Platt pledged that PA-RISC-based systems will
be shipped for several years after the
introduction of the Merced chip.
